Beth Moore Fall Bible Study, September 17 – December 10

Entrusted: A Study of 2 Timothy

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves.

In this 13 week study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. In this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live lives of faithfulness.

Priscilla Shirer Winter Bible Study, January 7 – March 24

    The Armor of God

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

The Enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory.

  • +God’s Grand Story

Studying the Bible in the order in which events happened is fascinating! You will gain a new perspective as you read God’s Word chronologically. We are using F. LaGard Smith’s The Daily Bible, which blends stories and events that are found in more than one book of the Bible. This course will continue for 18 months. Enjoy group discussion, receive Bible teaching, and be encouraged together! You may join at any time. To register, click here.

The Fall of Israel: Division, Decline and Destruction — Spring and Summer, 2019

We will cover the books of Kings and Chronicles, blended together in one easy-to-read narrative. After 120 years of a united kingdom, Israel is divided into two kingdoms due to Solomon’s sin. We will read about good and bad kings in the north and south, Elijah and Elisha performing miracles, evil kings humbling themselves before God, the Minor Prophets, a boy king, and the destruction of the northern kingdom, Israel. It’s spring/summer in Michigan, so we meet less often and cut the reading in half. Come join in and try reading the Bible in chronological order!

    Spring 2019 Dates:

    Sunday, 10:45am, room 310 — April 14, April 28, May 5, May 19

    Wednesday, 6:30-8pm, 100 wing — April 17, May 1, May 8, May 22

Summer 2019 Dates (Sunday and Wednesday groups will meet together once/month in homes)

    June 26, July 17, August 14

Fall 2019 Beginning Dates (meeting weekly):

Sunday — September 15 (no class on 9/22)

Wednesday — September 18 (no class on 9/25)

  • +The Word for Your Life – Lynnelle Pierce

The Word for Your Life/Lynnelle Pierce Bible Study, meeting Thursdays at 9:30am and 6:30pm in The Rock (enter Door L). Our 2018-19 study runs from September 6 – May 2.

Plus, we are going to meet at 9:30am for 3 additional weeks this summer — June 13, July 11, and August 8.

Our 2019-20 study will begin on Thursday, September 5 (9:30am and 6:30pm). This year, we are studying the life of David and the Gospel of John…again, verse by verse. If we really want a heart like God’s, then we have to get to know the only “One” who will mentor and teach us exactly how to get it, which will then affect our every thought, word, and deed. Men and women are invited! As we hold our Bible, we do believe it is God’s Word, that every word is true, and it is all we need. No pre-registration needed.
