Special Needs

Our mission is to create a community of belonging for kids with special needs and allow them to engage in the full church experience to help them grow in their relationship with God and others.

Every child matters in God’s story, and we’re here to cheer them on.

At Fair Haven, our Special Needs Ministry creates a community of belonging for kids and students of all abilities. Each child is paired with a caring Sidekick; a trained leader who provides one-oon-one support, friendship, and encouragement throughout the morning.

Our goal is for every child to fully engage in the life of the church, learning about God’s love in a way that fits their unique strengths and needs. Parents can relax and enjoy worship knowing their child is safe, included, and celebrated.

To help us serve each child well, we invite families to complete a short intake form before attending so we can create the best possible experience together.

Resources

Are you and your child navigating a new diagnosis or behavioral challenges? Have you and your child been longing for an organization to get involved in? All children are created in the image of God and have so much to give to our church and community. While each child has so much to give with their God given gifts and talents, there are also moments where they may need more support and assistance. In addition to the Special Needs Program and events we have at Harbor Churches that can provide guidance and communities of belonging for you and your family, the documents below provide some further resources and organizations within our community.
